Our Beliefs

  • WE BELIEVE IN THE WORD OF GOD, the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the true Word of God, the foundation of faith, life and ministry. The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, perfect, and inspired by God through the Holy Spirit. All 66 books of the Bible are complete. The Scriptures are without error and are not to be added to, taken from, or changed by tradition or supposed revelation. (Psalms 119:89; 2 Timothy 3:16; and 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • WE BELIEVE IN THE TRIUNE GOD, consisting of God as the Father, God as the Son, Jesus Christ and God as the Holy Spirit are one. They are co-eternal in being co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory (Matthew 28:19; John 14:10, 26 and 1 John 5:7-8) and they are One.

  • WE BELIEVE THAT MAN was created by God in the image and likeness of God. Through the original sin of Adam and Eve, all men became sinful in thought, words and deeds (human nature). We believe that through sin, we inherent natural and spiritual death, and separation from God. Man is totally incapable of returning to God in himself, and is lost without hope apart from the salvation of Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:15-16 and 3:1-16; Romans 3:10-23, 6:23 and 1 Corinthians 15:45-47)

  • WE BELIEVE SALVATION is a gift of God offered to mankind by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no name except that of Jesus Christ by which mankind may be saved. By turning from sin, bringing forth the fruit of repentance, and trusting in Christ and His death for the sins of all, man is born again to eternal life by the Holy Spirit. Through this redemptive act comes forgiveness of sin, liberation from bondage of the world, and freedom in the Spirit of God. (Romans 5:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 and Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • WE BELIEVE THE CHURCH is made up of born-again believers, the Household of God, the Body and Bride of Christ. The primary mission of the Church is to teach all nations and to make disciples, taking the Gospel of the Kingdom to all men and nations with confirming signs. The Church is to release the glory of the Kingdom of God in the earth by being an example of the ministry of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15-18 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-14)

  • WE BELIEVE THAT SATAN is Lucifer, a falling angel of God. He was defeated and casted down to earth from heaven. He is the author of sin and the cause of the Fall of Man. Satan is the enemy of God and the Church. He will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:13-17; Matthew 4:2-11 and Revelation 12:7-10)

  • WE BELIEVE IN BAPTISM AND COMMUNION (The Lord’s Supper). Baptism is a public confession of obedience to the Lord’s Command and is confession and identification in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 10:32-33; 28:18-20; Acts 16:30-34); and Romans 6:1-10. The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration, consisting of unleavened bread and fruit of the vine (not wine or alcohol), of the death of Christ until He comes again. Communion is the celebration of the Passover Lamb in which grace and mercy is given to us every day we wake up. MFBMS will commune during every fellowship and recommend that each household partake of communion at home. It is to be preceded by self-examination and is kept thanking Jesus for His sacrifice. (Luke 22:4-20, John 6:48-57 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

  • WE BELIEVE IN MARRIAGE is a divine covenant established by God. It is the joining of one man and one woman (holy matrimony). God designed it for pleasure, partnership, and parenthood. We believe marriage is more than just finding the right person, but being the right person. In marriage, men and women are spiritually equal in position, but distinct in spiritual functions of the home. (Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 7:10 and Ephesians 5:22-6:1-4)

  • WE BELIEVE GOD ORDAINED GOVERNMENT, consisting of three basic pillars of the community: Home, Church and State. Every person is subject to these authorities, all are governed by His Word. Each pillar has specific divine responsibilities under God and should not to infringe upon the other. (Romans 13:1-7; Ephesians 5:22-24; Hebrews 13:17 and 1 Peter 2:12-14)
